How is the gold plating carried out?
Items are plated electronically using gold or silver solutions.
So is it real gold and silver or some form of gold/silver
paint?
No it is not paint. We use real 24k gold and silver. The metals
are released from the solution in the plating process, but they
are genuine metals which provide a durable plated finish once
applied.
How long will my gold plating last?
Provided the item is looked after properly the plating should
last for several years.
How much will my item cost to be gold plated?
Sample prices are given for standard items. For unique items we
prefer to give a unique quote.
How long does the process take?
Normally we will be able to process and ship an item back to
you within 5 working days of receipt.
Does the plating remove small scratches and other
marks?
We can use our professional polishing machine before and after
applying the plating. This will improve small scratches, but the
solution will not "fill in" larger pock marks, pitting or other
physical blemishes. It will, of course, also cover
discolouration. |
